How to enter: To be considered, please e-mail stoneponybooking@yahoo.com with your band name and a link to your MySpace or website, as well as your best telephone contact number. You will be contacted within a week if you are selected to showcase. We will offer all entrants other shows at the Pony, so all bands are encouraged to enter.

Qualifications: The band must be from New Jersey, with all band members 18 years of age and older. That's it!

Showcases will take place on Thursdays. There will be five bands each night, with one band from each preliminary showcase moving to the finals night at a date to be announced in the winter. One event finalist will be named as The Stone Pony 2009 House Band.

All finalists and the overall winner will be selected by the staff and management of The Stone Pony. It is our "house band" after all! The event finalists will be selected based on talent and audience appeal.

What does it mean to be selected as The Stone Pony House Band?

The new house band will receive a regular slot at the Pony on most Thursdays (and generally play the Pony a lot!) The house band will be booked to open for a major national show. The house band will receive a photo shoot and product from Rocktography and a CD fuly recorded, mixed and mastered by Coastline Recording, as well as networking opportunities with music industry and media insiders.

Production: Doors at 7:30, load in by 6:30. Sets are 30 minutes. You will use all your own equipment with full house sound and lights with techs provided by the Pony. The five time slots for each showcase will be drawn randomly with a band representative present. Admission is $10. Bands will make $2 per head. All bands will be encouraged to use advance ticket sales for promotion that can be provided by the Pony. See you on stage and best of luck to all!
