Rock to the Top is a local band competition open to all bands and all styles of music. To enter a band must simply send their band contact and web link to stoneponybooking@yahoo.com. All entrants will be notified of showcase selections. There is no fee to participate.

Due to the cancelled RTT showcases from Hurricane Sandy and the aftermath, we are doing our best to accommodate all RTT bands. There will be only two semifinal shows with four bands from each going to the finals in an an eight-band final showcase. Final round is expected to take place in June at a date to be determined.

Best of luck to all bands! Sets will be 25 minutes with 15-minute changeovers. Your set needs to include at least three original songs. All bands will play with their own amps and drums. There is no house backline. The Stone Pony will provide a concert sound and light show with professional techs to work for all bands (you can not bring your own sound tech).

The competition will have a judging panel consisting of representatives of a sponsor, The Stone Pony, and local media. Bands will be scored from 1 to 10 in three categories: talent, stage presence, and audience response. The bands with the highest scores overall will advance. Winners will be announced at each showcase. Band members do not have to be present to qualify. All decisions of the judges will be final.

When a band is confirmed to showcase. There will be a random drawing for time slots. Bands will be notified one week before show. All selections for show dates and times are final.

Rock to the Top is an all-ages event. Bands will need to sell 25 advance tickets at $10 each to qualify. Bands will make $1 off each ticket they sell. Show tickets and monies will be settled on the night of each show. There is no pre-payment of advance tickets. An event advance and info package with show tickets will be sent to each band selected to showcase. The Stone Pony reserves the right to all event showcase selections. All decisions will be final.
