MELVIN SEALS & JGB

Melvin Seals has been a powerful presence in the music industry for over 30 years with a long-established reputation as a performer, recording artist and producer. Melvin is most revered for his powerful, high-spirited, Hammond B-3 organ, and keyboards in the Jerry Garcia Band. Melvin spun his B-3 magic with the Jerry Garcia Band for 18 years and in doing so helped pioneer and define what has now become “Jam Band Music”. From blues to funk to rock to jazz, Melvin Seals serves up a tasty mix with a little R&B and gospel thrown in to spice things up.

Melvin and JGB bring an intuitive, expressive style, soul, spontaneity and remarkable chops to the table. John Kadlecik on lead guitar and vocal duties, John-Paul McLean’s savory bass, Jeremy Hoenig on the drums and, of course, a heapin’ helpin’ of the wizard’s magic on Hammond B-3 Organ and keyboards. Their chemistry is the focus from which they create a spontaneous and high art where the sky is the limit musically. They offer an exciting, often psychedelic musical journey that changes nightly and keeps the audience dancing and smiling (and some staring in amazement) for hours.

DEAN LEWIS, an Australian singer-songwriter, is renowned for his heartfelt lyrics and emotive voice. Born on October 21, 1987, in Sydney, Australia, he gained international fame with his hit single “Waves” in 2016, celebrated for its raw emotional depth. His debut album, “A Place We Knew,” released in 2019, solidified his status in the music industry with hits like “Be Alright” and “7 Minutes.”

Inspired by the British rock band Oasis, Dean’s musical style and passion for songwriting reflect their influence. His music often delves into themes of love, loss, and personal growth, resonating deeply with audiences worldwide.

On May 30, 2024, Dean released his new single “All I Ever Wanted.” This latest release follows the success of “Memories,” which arrived in February. “Memories” has achieved notable milestones, including 35 million streams, inclusion in Hot Hits Australia, and reaching the Top 25 on the AU Radio Chart and Top 20 on the AU Shazam chart.

Warren Zeiders was still a collegiate star athlete when he released Ride the Lightning, a platinum-certified debut single whose mix of country storytelling, heartland twang, and larger-than-life rock ‘n’ roll launched his career. Eddie has attracted a devoted following with his electrifying stage presence and heartfelt songs infused with raw, real-world lyrics, cutting wit, and musings on life, love, and everything in between. Following the release of his Lost Highway record Who the Hell is John Eddie?, Eddie moved to Nashville, where his songs were discovered and recorded by the likes of Brantley Gilbert, Keith Urban, Kid Rock, and Sammy Hagar, among many others. Formed by Chadwick Stokes and Brad Corrigan while in college in Vermont DISPATCH have
forged their own path outside the mainstream music industry as one of the most successful
artists in the roots rock scene. Over the course of a slew of acclaimed studio and live albums
and countless tours and festivals, the band has gone on to become one of biggest success
stories in independent music history, selling out three nights at Madison Square Garden and
drawing over 100,000 fans to a massive outdoor show in their adopted hometown of Boston
without any traditional radio or major label support.
This year, they will embark on a US Summer Tour alongside John Butler (with band). DISPATCH

Throughout their rise, DISPATCH has taken every opportunity to use their success for good,

far afield as Zimbabwe to work with children and communities in need. Chadwick Stokes’ Calling
All Crows joins bands and fans together in collective activism that has raised more than half a
million dollars for feminist movements, while Brad Corrigan’s Love Light + Melody helps amplify
the stories of children who live in extreme poverty.

The Head and the Heart

As The Head and the Heart toured behind their 2022 album, Every Shade of Blue, Jonathan Russell realized something needed to change inside the band he had cofounded a dozen years earlier: the entire songwriting process. Sure, they’d had Platinum singles, including “Honeybee” and “All We Ever Knew,” but the tandem of success and encroaching adulthood had forced sometimes-unspoken changes over the years. Russell, for instance, often took on lead songwriting duties, even bringing in outside collaborators to bolster his ideas. Their early band energy faded a bit, a slight disconnect forming between the songs and the members, even between one another.

Aperture, The Head and the Heart’s sixth album, is the affirming sound of their restart. After leading so much of the songwriting during the last decade, Russell ceded that role to everyone, shooing away siloed work for a highly collaborative approach where everyone hatched tunes together in a room or passed ideas between coasts. With every song fortified by the sense of beginning again, Aperture is The Head and the Heart’s most vital and poignant album. It is the best work they’ve ever done.

Really, all of Aperture sounds like the work of a band reaching unimagined levels of camaraderie and mutual risk as one, at once. A spirited homage to honesty and love, “Jubilee” is like the sun suddenly bursting from the clouds. It bounces like a piece of pop-punk and arcs like a Springsteen classic. During “Beg Steal Borrow,” The Head and The Heart’s trademark harmonies conjure communal aspirations. And there may be no better summary of this fellow feeling than the mighty “Arrow,” a shout-along song about sometimes needing the space to roam and fail on your own and sometimes needing to be guided and helped by those around you. The Head and The Heart has finally found a way for its six members to find their own ideas and then build them, together, into something magnificent.

Few bands enter their fifth decade of making music with all the fierce creative energy of their early years. Even fewer bands are like The Church.
Experiencing a renaissance of sorts with their worldwide critically-hailed 26th album The Hypnogogue and its companion 27th album (that also serves as a worthy standalone) Eros Zeta and the Perfumed Guitars, The Church has witnessed their continued impact to astonishingly grow exponentially in audience size and media attention through not only their new albums but a world tour that took them through North America, the UK, Europe and back home to Australia. Coupled with the 2024 vinyl re-issues of their first four albums – Of Skins & Heart, The Blurred Crusade, Séance, and Heyday – their most recent Australian tour was one of their most successful tours to date.
